Oral Presentation

Introductory Talk: 20 min (including discussion)

Platform Presentation: 15 min (including discussion)

The speakers preview room is situated next to the main hall on the 3rd floor and opens from 10:00 a.m. on October 9 (Thursday) and from 8:00 a.m. on other days.

We strongly advise all speakers to give a copy of your presentation data (PowerPoint), on USB flash memory or CD-R or DVD, to the engineers in the preview room at least a day before your presentation, to avoid any technical problems. Please be present in the preview room no later than 1 hour before the start of your session.

If you use the Secretariat's PC:
  1. Only USB flash memory, CD-R and DVD are accepted. MOs, floppy disks and CD-RWs cannot be accepted.
  2. Windows (OS: Windows 7, Applications: PowerPoint 2003, 2007, 2010) is the only operating system available for the presentations. (If you have prepared the presentation data on a Macintosh, you are advised to bring your own computer).
  3. Your media should contain only the presentation data for the Conference.
  4. Your presentation data file should be named as <Session_Name>.ppt.
    • (i.e.: Session1-1_FirstnameFamilyname.ppt)
  5. If your presentation data is linked to other files (i.e.: still or moving images, graphs, etc.), those linked files should also be saved in the same folder, and the links checked beforehand.
  6. The Secretariat is responsible for destroying all copies of any data after the session.

If you bring your own PC:
  1. The Secretariat will prepare a Mini D-sub 15 pin PC cable connector. If your PC is not compatible with this cable connector, please bring an adaptor to connect your PC to the Mini D-sub 15 pin PC cable connector.
  2. Please bring your AC adapter with you.
  3. The resolution of the LCD projector is XGA (1024 x 768). If your computer requires a resolution setting to be changed, please change this setting beforehand.
  4. Please also bring your presentation data on a media (either on USB flash memory or CD-R) as a backup file.
  5. Please bring your PC to the preview room next to the main hall 1 hour prior to the start time of your session.
  6. Following the conclusion of your session, we will return your computer at the preview room. Please come to the preview room promptly to collect it.

Poster presentation

3 minutes for oral presentation in the main hall on the 3rd floor
Poster discussion in front of your poster in the poster session room on the 2nd floor

Posters will be presented in the poster session room on the 2nd floor.
All presenters are asked to set up your poster in the afternoon of October 9 (Thursday). Posters will be continuously presented throughout the congress.

As poster presenters have 3 minutes for oral presentation of a few slides in the main hall on the 3rd floor on October 10 (Friday) from 3:15 to 4:10 p.m.
3:30 to 4:21 p.m., we strongly advise all presenters to give a copy of your presentation data (PowerPoint), on USB flash memory or CD-R or DVD, to the engineers in the preview room on October 9 (Thursday), to avoid any technical problems. Please be present in the preview room no later than 1 hour before the start of your poster oral presentation.

After your poster oral presentation, poster discussion will be held in front of your poster on the 2nd floor.
