Outline
The Division of Aging Research aims to clarify mechanisms of cancer and aging and develop diagnostic and treatment methods and their applications. Our goal is to utilize our research results to develop advanced medical care for preventing and overcoming pathological aging and cancer, and regenerative medicine. We conduct studies on mechanisms of stem cells and cell initialization as well as cancer drug resistance. Furthermore, we have focused on cell to cell interaction, especially through exosomes, as a common mechanism, and we developed a new research tool and are applying it in analyses. Considering the possibilities of application for our research results to the healthcare industry, we will continue to research and apply for patents.
