Fundamental Nursing

Outline

"The educational activities for Fundamental Nursing include courses in Nursing Science Principles I and II, Basic Nursing Skills I-IV, Basic Nursing Practice I and II, and Nursing Education for a total of 14 credits. In these courses, students learn about the concepts and fundamental matters of nursing. Classes are designed to help students understand the true significance of nursing practice and to learn through experience. We also help students to develop scientific thinking skills and to acquire an ethical attitude for nursing.
Our research activities include:
・a study on simulation-based educational interventions in nursing and the effective use of the Clinical Simulation Center (CSC)
・an empirical study on the healing effects of Taktil® Care
・research on nursing history
・research on diabetic nephropathy patients and dialysis patients
・research on male nurses' ability in dealing with gender issues
・research on the basics of wound care nursing using animal models."
