Please note:

Our service provides a light proofreading (correcting grammar mistakes) on a manuscript. You should always have your manuscript checked by a specialist in your field. Translating or editing is not offered. We do not accept a manuscript that has only been machine translated.

Please allow us more than 5 working days (excluding Saturday, Sunday and national holidays) to complete work on a request. For example, when you submit a manuscript on Monday, the requested finish date should be the next Monday or after.

Busy Periods: April, September and December are busy periods for the English staff due to university demands. Please allow more than 10 working days to complete the work.

Please understand we occasionally cannot accept a long manuscript during the busy seasons of a school year.

We sometimes need to consult you about the manuscript. Write your everyday telephone number and e-mail address to help ensure the work is completed by the finish date.

We accept only Microsoft Office Word file formats. Manuscripts made with PowerPoint, Excel, or PDF need to be pasted on or converted to a Word file.

If you don’t need the entire manuscript to be proofread, please specify the part to be checked. Otherwise we count the whole text to calculate your fee.

If you have the original in Japanese, please also send it to us. We may need it to help confirm the accuracy of any changes we make.

When you receive the manuscript back from the proofreader, 1) please reply to confirm you have received the manuscript, and 2) send us a notification when you are satisfied. The service will be completed when we receive the notification.

The invoice will be issued to your department or the specified office in the following month. If you need the invoice to be issued to you directly, please let us know in advance.

Proofreading Request of Revised Manuscript: When you want your manuscript proofread again after making major revisions that were required by reviewers, send the revised manuscripts with changed parts highlighted (with Japanese version if available). Subject/title of the mail should be "Proofreading Request of Revised Manuscript". You do not have to resubmit an application to CIE. Your requested finishing date should be indicated in the mail text.
2. Submit the application form and a manuscript by e-mail.
Send to: kouryu-c@kanazawa-med.ac.jp
